Time Varying Terminal Control

چکیده
Two recent contributions to the literature (Kouvaritakis et al., 2000; Imsland et al., 2004) have shown how to use offline analysis to reduce online computation while enlarging the feasible regions of a control law. Both methods make use of an augmented system so this paper gives some proper discussion of their differences and similarities and in particular it gives new insight to the structure of the solutions. Following on the paper then discusses the potential of both methods and makes proposal for future developments. Copyright c 2005 IFAC

Robust Model Predictive Control for a Class of Discrete Nonlinear systems
This paper presents a robust model predictive control scheme for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems subject to state and input constraints. Each subsystem is composed of a nominal LTI part and an additive uncertain non-linear time-varying function which satisfies a quadratic constraint. Using the dual-mode MPC stability theory, a sufficient condition is constructed for synthesizing the ...
متن کاملOptimal Sliding-Mode Guidance Law for Fixed-Interval Propulsive Maneuvers
An optimal strategy based on minimum effort control and also with terminal positionconstraint is developed for an exoatmospheric interceptor with a fixed- interval guidance time. It isthen integrated with sliding-mode control theory to drive an optimal sliding-mode guidance law forfixed-interval guidance time. In addition, this guidance law is generalized for intercepting anarbitrarily time-var...
متن کاملMin-max feedback MPC using a time-varying terminal constraint set and comments on "Efficient robust constrained model predictive control with a time-varying terminal constraint set"
In this paper a robust MPC scheme using a time-varying terminal constraint set for input-constrained systems with a polytopic uncertainty description is proposed. The new scheme is a refinement to the algorithm published in “Efficient robust constrained model predictive control with a time-varying terminal constraint set” [1]. The original result contains an error in the stability proof which i...
متن کاملNumerical Solution of Optimal Control of Time-varying Singular Systems via Operational Matrices
In this paper, a numerical method for solving the constrained optimal control of time-varying singular systems with quadratic performance index is presented. Presented method is based on Bernste in polynomials. Operational matrices of integration, differentiation and product are introduced and utilized to reduce the optimal control of time-varying singular problems to the solution of algebraic ...
متن کاملADAPTIVE FUZZY TRACKING CONTROL FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN DISTRIBUTED TIME-VARYING DELAYS AND UNKNOWN CONTROL DIRECTIONS
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is proposed for a class of perturbed strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown discrete and distributed time-varying delays, and the proposed design method does not require a priori knowledge of the signs of the control gains.Based on the backstepping technique, the adaptive fuzzy controller is constructed. The main contributions of the paper...
متن کاملFinite Time Terminal Synergetic Controller for Nonlinear Helicopter Model
In this paper, an almost new control approach called terminal synergetic control which works based on user defined manifold is applied to a nonlinear helicopter model. Stability analysis is convestigated using Lyapunov stability theory. Synergetic controller is applied to this nonlinear fifth-order helicopter model to control height and angle. Simulation results showed that it has faster and sm...
